ROLE SUMMARY
We are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance department. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the purchase ledger of Optos Plc, via the timely processing of invoices, credit notes & RTV’s. You will also be responsible for preparing payment runs to ensure we pay suppliers to terms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Processing of invoices through three-way match
  • Working with Supply Chain & Stores to resolve matching issues
  • Weekly clearing of RTV’s against GRNI
  • Preparation of Supplier Payments
  • Applications of Credit Notes to match out RTV’s
  • Prepare supplier statement reconciliations
  • Monitor supplier evaluations
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures
  • Prepare weekly supplier payment runs
  • Tie out intercompany positions between group entities
  • General accounting duties
  • Support of Concur expense management system

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in a customer focussed environment
  • Previous experience of Great Plains Dynamics system would be beneficial
  • Successful problem-solving skills in a cross functional team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management skills to ensure all reports are delivered in a timely manner
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Good attention to detail with strong ability to report accurately
  • Good computer skills (MS Office applications)
