About The Role

**Please note this is a part-time position of 15 hours per week with a salary of £9,333 per annum pro rata**
East Kent Colleges Group are seeking to appoint a Skills Practitioner within Art & Design for the Sixth Form College at EKC Canterbury College.
As a Skills Practitioner you will provide Learning/Technical support to staff and students within the Creative teachers in the Sixth Form College and to undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the College and awarding bodies.

In your role as a Skills Practitioner you will liaise with internal and external customers/stakeholders as necessary or required, provide feedback to students that will aid successful progression and achievement and stock control, to include ordering and issuing of supplies.

About You


We are seeking to appoint an organised and efficient member to our team who has excellent communication skills and can facilitate learners on creative tasks, including Fine Art, Textiles, Graphics Communication and Photography. You will also provide demonstrations as required in class to aid the delivery of outstanding provision within East Kent Colleges Group.


You will have recent industrial experience in a relevant area. Ideally, they will have experience of education or involvement in training in the workplace. You will be able to work with young people to achieve and succeed their full potential aligned with the culture and ethos of the Group.

You will have a key responsibility for Instilling and upholding strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments and will purchase resources and materials within budget.
