Are you an experienced teacher of Law and interested in working with our diverse student cohort on the International Foundation Programme (IFP)?

We are looking for an IFP Law Tutor to deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and student experience. You will join the IFP teaching team, leading on specific modules and supporting our IFP students to successfully complete the IFP and progress to undergraduate study. Teaching hours and schedules are defined according to module and teaching requirements and timetabling - see the job description available via the link below for further details.

The post is part-time and fixed term to March 2023 for the purpose of providing maternity leave cover.

As IFP Law Tutor you can expect to get involved in:

  • teaching in a variety of settings to deliver specific modules on the IFP to foster student achievement
  • convening the relevant module/s and undertake related administrative duties
  • developing and updating materials and VLE pages for assigned modules
  • marking and moderating coursework and examinations and providing constructive feedback to students

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • a postgraduate degree associated with Law or extensive equivalent experience in teaching the subject in a similar context
  • a certificate or diploma in teaching or equivalent experience
  • in-service training/practice of teaching in a relevant, similar context, or extensive equivalent experience
  • recent experience and knowledge of dynamic and student-centred teaching associated with preparing students for university study
  • a strong awareness of equal opportunities and intercultural and interpersonal differences
