The Customer Propositions team is at the heart of Vodafone Business and plays an integral part in driving Vodafone’s market ambition to win in the IT and Communications market. The Propositions team are responsible for delivering customer propositions that add clear, differentiated value for both our customers and our business - allowing us to win in the market and deliver our ambitions for profitable growth.

A role in the customer proposition team requires a great understanding of our customers, our competitors and the market but also a focus on brilliant execution to take those ideas and turn them into reality. We are also looking for individuals with flair and imagination to think differently about what we do going forward; all great sales journeys start with the customer proposition.

This is an exciting period of growth for the Propositions team, and this role is part of our portfolio propositions team; with a particular focus on helping to shape and accelerate our Voice, Connectivity & UC products and services.

The key value behind this role is to evangelise our portfolio with our sales teams; helping them to understand our offering and why it’s so compelling to customers; feeding into our product roadmap, working hand-in-glove with Product Management to deliver a market leading portfolio and to accelerate the commercial performance of the portfolio by coming up with innovative promotions and marketing activity. This isn’t just about launching shiny new things; it’s about driving the overall performance of the category in life through any means; working closely with sales, understanding customers’ needs and helping us to stand out from our competitors.

What will you be doing?
  • Commissioning and delivering customer insight and research to support the development of future propositions, promotions and opportunities for Vodafone.
  • Evaluating market opportunities for future developments, utilising analyst reports and market data.
  • Developing and planning different proposition strategy and objectives.
  • Develop differentiated proposition positioning that sets us apart from the competition and messaging framework that will be utilised across VF Business for both internal and external communication that clearly articulates our USP and clear customer benefits/outcomes.
  • Creating an engaging launch calendar for your portfolio area working closely with senior stakeholders to get buy in and with marketing colleagues, to ensure cascade of messaging to customers across all relevant segments.
  • Managing senior stakeholder relationships with Sales, Commercial, Marketing, Brand and Product leads to ensure that launches are aligned, and sales are achieving commercial objectives with regular updates.
  • Managing senior stakeholder relationships including preparing communications for EXCO and GMT updates and presenting at ELT level.
  • Working closely with Product Managers and GTM Managers to bring new proposition capability to market with full end to end customer journey and launch campaigns and provide them with key market trend analysis.
  • Working closely with the direct and in-direct segment leads, sales and commercial teams to produce sales plans, targeted marketing activity and stakeholder engagement and manage category in life to drive the performance of the existing portfolio.
  • Working with Online, Digital, Social and PR to drive consideration for your proposition portfolio.
Who are we looking for?
  • Experience in connectivity category highly desirable.
  • Experience of leading cross-functional teams/projects.
  • Commercial experience and understanding with ability to develop business cases and build KPIs to manage in-life commercial performance of category,
  • Experience in delivering end-to-end strategy, plan and business case.
  • Experience in delivering end-to-end new proposition launches including strong stakeholder engagement, development of messaging frameworks and marketing /industry sector planning.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships (up to C-level) and present at senior level to gain buy-in across the Business.
  • Experience of delivering commercial results and initiatives to achieve annualised targets Propositions experience within either consumer or b2b markets.
  • Competent in commercial performance measurement and reporting against commercial and customer KPIs.
  • Track record of developing and driving proposition development programmes/projects for commercial return.
