About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Property Surveyor’s to join Magenta Living’s busy Asset Management team.

This is a permanent full time role working 37 hours per week, split between our modern head office in Birkenhead, onsite working and remote working . The office is easily accessible from most transport links with just a short walk from Hamilton Square train station and local bus routes. Free parking is provided to staff either on site or nearby.

The role of Property Surveyor reports directly to the Project Manager.

Magenta Living are looking to recruit Property Surveyors, who ideally will have experience of delivering major planned projects (including energy efficiency works – insulation measures, ventilation, solar etc.), capital investment programmes, managing subcontractor performance, as well as holding a strong understanding of construction processes and the built environment. Experience of working with the NHF Schedule of Rates and NEC Repairs would be advantageous.

The overall purpose of the role will be to:

  • To support the Project Manager, by assisting in the effective delivery of major construction, energy efficiency, capital investment and cyclical maintenance projects and programmes.
  • To undertake property surveys and contribute to the specification of works required in relation to (but not limited to) major construction projects, investment programmes, reactive maintenance.
  • To ensure that quality and value for money are always prioritised as part of Magenta Living’s investment, energy efficiency and responsive maintenance services.
  • To diligently contribute to the updating of completed investment works that are required to be updated accurately into Magenta Living’s asset management database.
  • To ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved through the delivery of quality asset management services.

The successful candidates are required to hold strong experience in the delivery of major construction projects (Essential) and experience of working within a similar role in for a social housing provider or local authority would be desirable. Candidates who hold relevant qualifications in the field of construction & the built environment (HNC, HND, BSc etc) would be preferred (Desirable), but not essential if substantive experience can be demonstrated during the interview stage.
