About The Role

Following a recent change within our team, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Joiner to join our high performing Voids team.

This role is on a 6-month fixed-term and full-time basis working 38 hours per week.

The role will be based at our Birkenhead depot, St Mary’s Gate. The depot is easily accessible from most transport links with just a short walk from Hamilton Square train station and local bus routes. Free parking is provided to staff either on site or nearby.

Our newly re-branded in-house Property Care team consists of trade technicians and mobile cleaning operatives. Our colleagues provide a wide range of cleaning, caretaking, repair, maintenance and refurbishment services to our tenants and external customers. The team is dedicated to maintaining and improving homes and keeping neighbourhood’s green, clean and safe places for all to enjoy.

Multi-Skilled Joiner Responsibilities:

We are looking for a fully qualified and experience Joiner who has the ability and skill set to carry out a variety of supplementary trades. You’ll also have great customer service skills and a desire to deliver our vision and values.

Multi-Skilled Technician Requirements:

  • You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery.
  • You will have a minimum of asbestos awareness with the willingness to be trained to asbestos essentials.
  • You will hold a CSCS card or be willing to obtain one.
  • You will have good general multi-skilled abilities with the ability to complete the task in hand.
  • You will have a good level of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • You will have good IT skills and be proficient in the use of a PDA for receiving and updating completed works.
  • You will be highly competent and motivated with a positive can-do attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
  • You will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
  • You will have the ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required.
  • You will have the ability to operate safely having taken into account any environmental circumstances and possible risks.
  • You will be happy to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Hold a full manual UK driving licence.
