About The Role
In order to support our growing company we have a great opportunity to recruit a Project Specialist to be part of our customer Capital delivery Programme in the UK.
Reporting to the relevant Senior Project Manager, working within our client’s Project Management team, the Project Specialist will be responsible for managing smaller Customer projects from Project Initiation to release into Operations and/or supporting Project Managers on larger projects. The Project Specialist will own and manage the delivery of their projects through the effective coordination of internal Service Delivery teams and external third-party delivery partners.
Our client operates as a Telecommunication Infrastructure Services Company and convers the full network lifecycle, delivering Managed Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets.
You will also support and engage closely with the customer’s project team. The Project Specialist will be the single point of contact for all deliverables within their projects, meeting required quality levels, budgets and timescales, but will be supported in the appropriate manner to enable this. Projects are delivered utilising our client’s Project Management methodology.

What will your key responsibilities be?
- Managing Smaller Projects with a variety of products.
- Supporting other Project Managers on larger projects/programmes
- Project ownership from Project Initiation through to Customer Operations.
- Manage all communications on the project
- At a minimum host a weekly internal and external customer call, with face to face customer meetings as needed.
- Provide regular internal reports and external customer reports when requested
- Monitor the project using MS Project and ITSM.
- Identify and Manage Risks, Issues, Actions and Dependencies throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Cost Tracking, Budget and Forecasting. Ensuring the business and customer know when to expect charges/revenues.
- Adhere to Change Control Procedure
- Report time spent on the project against what has been sold to the customer
- Pass Gate Control Checks to ensure Quality standards are being adhered to
What competencies are we looking for?
Essential
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Will have some experience in the Microsoft Office suite
- Enthusiastic to learn new skills
- Team Player
- Project Co-ordinator role experience
- Any experience of Microsoft ProjectM
