The Glenmorangie Company, which encompasses both the Glenmorangie and Ardbeg Whisky brands are looking to recruit an experienced Project/Process Engineer to join the team; we are looking for someone who has experience in leading projects, a passion for continuous improvement and thrives on problem solving and providing first class engineering support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career in a company with ambitious growth and expansion plans.


The role will be supporting our Distilleries in Tain & Islay, also our bottling facility in Livingston. This is a key role where your experience will assist you to lead on distillery improvement projects (capex); working with the Distillery Managers and key stakeholders in Production to drive continuous improvement and provide engineering support to ensure that production is uninterrupted. You will be a good team player and be able to comfortably manage conflict, using your excellent communication skills to work collaboratively and deliver whilst maintaining KPI’s. Your organisational and people/contractor management skills are critical to ensure projects are delivered on time. The ability to be agile in your attitude and actions to support the ongoing business requirements is crucial.


Keeping up to date with developments within the industry and technology is key to driving the business forward and supporting our ambitious expansion plans.



Profile

Education:

  • Degree Level in Engineering

Professional experience & know how:

  • Proven experience in a production-based environment (Pharmaceuticals, Distilling, Brewing, Chemical)
  • Knowledge of Production processes – directly or indirectly
  • Experience of Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH)
  • Continuous Improvement process and Change Management skills
  • Excellent Project Management abilities
  • Conflict Management experience
  • Good organisational skills and a high level of numeracy

  • Self-starter
