Accounting Manager (Parental Leave Cover)

We are recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join our finance team based in our Livingston office. This role is a fixed term parental leave cover position which is set to be in place until June/July 2024.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, this role will be responsible for statutory reporting, tax analysis, auditing, Masterdata controller for SAP, capex accounting, balance sheet group reporting, and cashflow reporting.

What would a typical day look like:

• Deputising for Head of Accounting, when
• Month end duties including preparing closing timetable, and ensuring all journals List of journals to post include bulk whisky related bookings, IAS38 POSM adjustment, IFRS16 journal, payroll related journal.
• Manage the IFRS16 Leasing database/Group tool which generates the accounting booking
• CAPEX (capital expenditure) accounting (Actual & Forecast). Preparing all reports requested by budget holders.
• Monthly Balance Sheet
• Group reporting for Balance Sheet (Actual) in Group tool
• Assist in Cashflow analysis
• Master data management for SAP e. vendor & customer master data.
• Assist in preparation of statutory accounts
• Prepare detailed tax analysis required to support the tax

• Qualified accountant or Part Qualified and working towards completing a qualification
• Proficient in English
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills and good working knowledge of SAP
• Numerate, accurate, logical, and great attention to detail
• Ability to manage workload, excellent time management
