Role description:

We’re looking for an experienced senior planner to join a high profile £500 million rail infrastructure project reporting into the Project Director. You’ll be responsible for, and to lead, the client-side planning on the project.

Role accountabilities:

You’ll be able to build strong relationships close liaison with the main contractor and industry stakeholders to develop and maintain the overall schedule. The schedule has numerous interdependencies with rolling stock companies, regions and the supply chain. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing such interdependencies and will have a proven record of working closely with senior management teams. The ability to communicate clearly, challenge preconceptions and assumptions and to challenge and influence colleagues is also essential. Rail experience is desirable but not essential as we can teach you rail!

Whilst the project team is based in London, the team is working flexibly / from home presently. It is expected that in the future some limited attendance in the office will be needed for team workshops / client meetings etc.

This is a full-time permanent staff member role and is part of a wider planning and project controls team within Arcadis. There is excellent scope for growth within the role and within the wider Arcadis business.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience in project / programme planning is essential with a good understanding of Primavera.
  • Stakeholder management & engagement are key to making this role successful, demonstrable experience managing this in a large, complex business or project is a must.
