Air Quality and Project skills...? We want you!

This job is internally restricted. To apply for this job you must be an employee of the Council for the duration of the recruitment process – up to and including the start date. You must also be a substantive employee (or an employee with 12 months continuous service or more) of the Council or an Apprentice. Please note that if you work for an Academy you are not an employee of the Council.

Addressing Air Quality is high on the Local, Regional and National agendas and our Air Quality Team is working hard to implement our detailed Air Quality Action Plan across the Council and the Kirklees district.

We’re looking for additional team members to support the senior team officers in further developing and implementing the Air Quality Action Plan and undertaking complex Air Quality Projects, leading on smaller projects and support the wider Air Quality, Energy and Climate Change service area.

You will be able to work with and build relationships with our other specialists, programme managers and project management professionals throughout the Council to maintain and develop your professional competence outside the specific area you are working in.

At Kirklees Council, we want to support your professional development to give you the right skills, confidence and support to really achieve your potential. We offer a variety of courses and training designed for this exact purpose.

We value the importance of having work life balance, so this is why we offer provisions such as flexible-working, generous holiday entitlement, a variety of special leave policies, employee healthcare services and a childcare voucher scheme.

In order to be shortlisted for this job please demonstrate how you meet the Essential Criteria as detailed on the attached Job Profile and Focus Sheet.
