About The Role

Please note this is a 12 month fixed term position.

The Project Manager with Group Transformation will work with one of our Senior Project Managers to manage either several smaller projects or a single larger scale Project.
This Role will require an experienced Project Manager who is highly proficient at delivering change and is able to use their experience and knowledge to add value to the Group Transformation function

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Develop, define & organise a Project to support successful delivery to time, budget & scope.
  • Working with Sponsor, Accountable Executive and other key stakeholders, support the development of the Project business case, taking business & functional requirements into account when considering possible options.
  • Identify & forecast the most appropriate resource required to deliver the project and schedule their involvement.
  • Prepare and maintain Project & Stage plans. Ensuring they are updated and accurate at all times.
  • Lead, engage and motivate project teams to deliver Project objectives & outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with peers, stakeholders and the wider business to ensure engagement, support & delivery of the Projects’ desired outputs and benefits.
  • Ensure business policy, process, standards and required Governance are adhered to
  • Ensure that the impact of any change being proposed by the Programme is considered and an appropriate change management approach is developed that will contribute to a healthy change experience.
  • Adopts and champions business and governance policy and processes.
  • Responsible for managing all costs within budget parameters & managing reforecasting processes.
  • Ensure that all risks, issues and dependencies associated to the Project are properly documented, reported and actively managed.


Experience and Capability

Essential
  • Previous experience operating as a Project Manager who has worked within a Business Change function or similar environments
  • Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels in an organisation
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • Ability to lead & develop a team whilst delegating responsibility
  • Able to work under own initiative but can identify when assistance is required and engage senior colleagues to provide support
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Experience of working within project delivery frameworks
  • Experience of managing external suppliers
  • Creation of project business cases


Essential

Qualifications
  • Mathematics & English to a minimum of GCSE Grade C or above
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)


Desirable
  • Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management qualification
  • A levels or equivalent qualification
