Our client based in the heart of the Wirral is currently looking to recruit a proactive and motivated Project Manager to join their dynamic project team, preferably with a background in Packaging/Manufacturing Lines or Plant and Process Engineering. As a Project Manager, you will manage multiple strategic projects, ensuring these are delivered in line with our company vision and strategy. To include the management of deliverables and milestones, coordination of new projects, lifecycle management, and regular reporting mechanisms. It is vital that you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are flexible to travel across mainland UK and have a positive attitude to work, having the personal pride, motivation, and desire to deliver to the highest standards RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Management of multiple complex multidisciplinary projects Autonomous management of client site project(s) Liaising directly with client teams at senior site level Active risk management and mitigation planning ownership Feasibility studies with client teams to provide information for project development Budget forecasting and cost control Detailed Project planning with projected outcomes and contingency planning Ensuring outcomes are delivered to the regulatory standards and working to best practices Coordination of work, including ensuring alignment with other client members, project team members, and key stakeholders Ensure projects run on time and to budget Controlling change requests affecting project deliverables as and when necessary Ensuring that projects deliver the expected outcomes and benefits SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Degree level education in engineering setting preferred or equivalent experience Demonstrable track record of successful project delivery Strong individual who can work alone and with other team members An excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail Proactive, results-driven with a collaborative, supportive attitude Strong Microsoft office and IT skills Flexibility to work around mainland UK in line with client requirements Experience in leading or supporting CDM projects A background in Packaging/Manufacturing Lines or Plant and Process Engineering IOSH / NEBOSH qualification or equivalent (preferable) Familiar with APM or Prince 2 methodology (preferable) WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN: Remuneration package: £40,000-£50,000 per year (dependent on experience) Full-time contract 23 Days holiday plus Bank Holidays ((increasing to 25 days after probation period) Flexible working Company pension Regular training and development opportunities
