To help ensure we can deliver, develop and enhance, at the same time as supporting our core activities, we are looking to grow our Learning and Information Services team with this new role. Over the strategy period we will be modernising and transforming our IT systems and services, including migrating services to the cloud, building and developing new student-facing services in Dynamics 365, enhancing student administrative services in the Ellucian Banner platform, and modernising our approach to system and data integrations, security, authentication, automation and service management.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced cyber security professional to help deliver our security objectives. You will have experience in cyber security, along with a thorough working knowledge of security principles, technologies and best practices.

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or SSCP would be beneficial. Experience using tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus and endpoint protection (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint), vulnerability response/mitigation is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out key activities across detection, investigation and response alongside our key partners in cyber security. They will also have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
