Project Manager - Frome, Somerset Our client is an established and respected general Civil Engineering sub-contractor operating across UK and Europe. Their division undertakes large civil engineering packages on behalf of Tier-1 main contractors primarily involved in the civil, data centre, infrastructure, utilities, turnkey solutions, preconstruction service, mechanical, electrical. The project: Heavy civils and steel frame/ clad project in Frome, Somerset, Duration approximately 12 months , Value £20m + As a Project Manager, you will be responsible in ensuring our major projects are completed on time and within budget, the project objectives are met in line with the company standards. You will be responsible for setting, maintaining, and leading the project organisation. You will oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used, and the stakeholders involved are satisfied Key Role Deliverables
  • Delivery of major projects to programme, budget, HSEQ, client and contract requirements
  • Agreeing the timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver the project
  • Selecting, maintaining, and leading a project team
  • Negotiating with contractors and suppliers for materials and services
  • Reporting regularly on progress to the client
  • Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders
  • Resolving any issues/ delays which may occur
  • Communicating with clients, contractors, colleagues, and suppliers on the progress of a project
  • Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction
  • Managing your site-based team and liaising with support services
  • Managing the project commercially, including owning the budget, allocating resources to manage it, and reporting to the project director
  • Any other reasonable requests as required by the needs of the business.

  • Degree qualified
  • Previous working experience as a Project Manager
  • Previous experience in earthworks and reinforced concrete works
  • Proven experience managing operational and commercial aspects of projects
  • Strong organisational, leadership and management skills
  • Proven technical and project management skills
  • Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
  • Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment What you can expect in return
