An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear team in Warrington.

As the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the control and delivery of larger, higher complexity projects or aspects of project portfolios. Monitor, review, report and perform strategic look ahead on the status of projects / project portfolios in accordance with Project Management best practice and the requirements defined in the Project Management Plan. As a subject matter expert, the Lead Project Controller acts as Checker / Approver for other Project Controllers in the CNUK PMO, as well as managing key formal customer contract communications and relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be responsible effective delivery of larger, higher complexity projects or aspects of project portfolios.
  • Responsible for carrying out the control and governance measures for complex projects, maintaining the monthly PMO Calendar events to ensure accurate reporting to the business.
  • Responsible for the creation and management of an integrated set of plans / schedules.
  • Develop and oversee Cost Reports for the project(s), reviewing forecasts and actual costs to meet control requirements.
  • Functional subject matter expert providing checking and approval support to Project Controllers in the PMO Provide guidance to others regarding the Project Management processes and the operation of the project management systems / tools / methods.

  • Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ideally a member of a professional body such as APMP or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in complex project management
  • Hands on experience of complex project cost reporting and Primavera 6 schedule management.
