Petrofac is currently looking to recruit an Project Manager on a PAYE basis for 12 months located in Aberdeen, UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for projects from kick-off to close-out for the enhancement and ongoing operational readiness requirements of assets
  • Work in compliance with the Company’s Business Management System
  • Develop funding strategies and ensure budgets are in place to properly execute the project
  • Deliver requirements to support the Company RRC process for projects and bids
  • Provide leadership and sets the tone of execution excellence
  • Lead transition of the project from the front-end to the execution phase
  • Work with the operational and functional teams for scope identification, progress reporting and change management
  • Use of recognised project control tools to monitor and manage progress and track multiple activities
  • Collaborate and manage the Supply Chain to maximise the value opportunity
  • Participate in management meetings and influence decisions where appropriate
  • Manage and report progress to stakeholders conducting status reviews
  • Manage project direction for any evolving or emergent requirements
  • Ensure learnings are captured and shared with the project organisation
  • Ensure asset knowledge management is identified and optimises project delivery
  • Supports clients to navigate their technical and commercial assurance requirements
  • Identify contract resources to meet gaps in resources as required to execute project
  • Selection and management of nominated contractors and any other specialist or specific contract used for delivering the planned programme of work
  • Ensure delivery of fit for purpose solutions in a safe, environmentally sound, cost-effective, and timely manner
  • Ensure project execution in accordance with the appropriate MoEC Process
  • Ensure compliance for project against legislation, standards, specifications, and the asset performance standards
  • Active participation, promotion and application of the Petrofac Safety and Environmental policies
  • Apply risk, issues, and opportunities management in accordance with Petrofac Procedures

Essential Skills
  • Experienced Project Manager with history of delivering multidiscipline engineering projects
  • Knowledge and experience in offshore/onshore brownfield modifications, projects and subsea tie-backs
  • A demonstrable history managing the full lifecycle of a multi-discipline project particularly in the front end and execute phases
  • Knowledge of and experience in subsea tie-back projects is desirable
  • Knowledge of risk and assurance management principles, including decision & risk analysis principles.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements which govern energy operations on the UKCS
  • Project management experience with or on behalf of a client organisation preferable but not essential
  • Good working appreciation and application of project controls and reporting
  • Demonstrable experience within a dynamic and successful project environment
