What does the role involve?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Group IT Innovation and Change function. In this role, you’ll work on a blend of business and IT projects, working closely with your sponsors and working groups to deliver business/IT focussed change. You’ll play a pivotal part in supporting our business unit strategies to deliver outstanding customer experiences, with a focus on accelerating our digital footprint.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • End to end delivery of assigned business/IT change projects and ensuring use of the appropriate methodology
  • Develop, monitor and actively manage project plans and report progress against them
  • Identify and proactively manage risks and issues by providing options and measures to manage and mitigate them successfully
  • Working with business sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of change through the project lifecycle

What are we looking for?

You’ll be a skilled Change and IT Project Manager with a demonstrable record of successful delivery and management of multiple streams of work concurrently. Ideally you will have a Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE 2, Agile qualification, APMP) however, this is not essential.

Also, we’re looking for the following:

  • Excellent understanding of the project management lifecycle, including best practice processes, tools and methodologies
  • In depth understanding of Agile and Waterfall Project methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and persuade
  • An adaptable approach to project governance and control
