This permanent Project Engineering Manager role is working on a site investing millions into expansion and upgrades across the operation. Additional benefits include an annual bonus, 10% employer contribution to pension, private health care, life assurance, 28 days holiday plus stats and more.

This role is working on a chemical site of one of the largest global producers of the specialist chemical product manufactured across their sites. To maintain their status as a market trailblazer within the sector, this organisation has ambitious but stable expansion and investment strategies covering the next 5-10 years in which the Project Engineering Manager will be key in supporting.

Responsibilities of the Project Engineering Manager:-

  • Delivering well funded CAPEX on a COMAH site.
  • Managing CAPEX delivery partners and reviewing any design, installation and commissioning activities and documents.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for related CAPEX.
  • Generation of design and data sheets for equipment specification.
  • Supporting Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) such as HAZOP/LOPA and SIL determination studies and the corrective and improvement actions.
  • Support the procurement process within capital projects regarding material and equipment specifications and data sheets, plus quality assurance audits.

To be successful in this position as a Project Engineering Manager, it would be good for candidates to hold a degree (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng) within Chemical / Process Engineering, PM or Chemistry or extensive, demonstratable experience of chemical processing including CAPEX delivery. Experience working with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts is essential to the success of this role.
