Due to continued growth and a number of new projects, Stopford have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineering Manager to join the Projects Group of Stopford, based in Knutsford, Cheshire.

The Project Engineering Manager Position

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us and work with highly skilled professionals who are constantly striving to deliver excellence and best practice.

The Project Engineering Manager (PEM) will be actively involved in the day to day delivery of allocated projects by providing help to deliver a strong technical solution that meets customer specifications and expectations, ensuring that all necessary reporting and administration deadlines are met. The PEM will liaise closely with engineering designers and draughts persons within the projects group in the delivery of Stopford’s projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • The primary technical / engineering point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Ensuring that the project output meets the technical requirements.
  • Reporting the status of all technical aspects of assigned projects.
  • Developing functional and technical specifications for all elements of work.

To be successful in the role of Project Engineering Manager you will be/have:

  • Ideally have a degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience in the petrochemicals, chemicals or renewable energy industries.
  • Experience of working in a design and engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of DSEAR/ATEX, hazardous area classification equipment/design.
