Development Project Manager -Energy Storage

Edinburgh - Hybrid Working

Salary Up To £65,000 Plus Package Dependent On Experience

Introduction

Astute are exclusively partnered with a leading developer of renewable energy in the UK and Ireland. Our partner is currently recruiting for a Head of Engineering to join one of the biggest wind energy producers across the world and in the UK. The key responsibility of the role will be to manage the development of wind, solar and battery storage projects from feasibility study to construction phases, working within commercial and financial targets and deadlines.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable background in project managing renewable energy developments through the feasibility and permitting stages, to construction and completion.

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Developments, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage the wind, solar and battery storage projects through the full cycle of development.
  • Support the identification of potential developments for new windfarms or solar farms.
  • Ensure communication and project updates are routinely and clearly communicated with internal and external stakeholders and authorities.
  • Setting of achievable project milestones, budgets and programs to support the development.
  • Coordinate project phases to achieve milestones on schedule.

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Demonstrable background in project management of utility scale Windfarms, Solar Farms or Energy Storage developments.
  • Energy Storage development would be a strong advantage.
  • Degree qualified in a renewable energy/engineering field of study.
  • Able to lead and coordinate internal and external teams and stakeholders in support of the developments.
  • Able to delegate responsibilities where necessary.
  • Due to the location of expected sites being rural, the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel. As such, a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • The successful candidate will be located around Edinburgh - this role has hybrid working available.

  • A starting salary up to £65,000 depending on experience
