Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading telecommunication clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Project Delivery Manager to join their team for a six-month contract.

Working in Metro Fibre Project Delivery Team alongside the other Delivery Managers and reporting into the Senior Delivery manager to support project delivery. Accountable for the successful end to end delivery management of network infrastructure builds.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

Manage the end to end delivery of allocated network infrastructure builds ensuring the required quality, time, cost and stakeholder needs are met.
Establish and maintain the required delivery control and visibility including creation and management of the required build plans, trackers, issues, risks, resources, change and cost documentation and records.
Forge strong relationships with Field Build Partners, Fixed Access Design teams & Fixed Access Delivery teams.
Proactively identify risks, define and perform mitigating actions to avoid issues occurring that prevent delivery and where issues arise act as an escalation point and work with stakeholders to own and manage resolution.
Provide regular and ad-hoc reports that provide management information regarding the status of delivery, risks, issues and changes.
Manage the finance of allocated network infrastructure builds, including forecasting and accruals.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:
Experience Delivery Management experience, in a telecoms fixed network environment.- not looking for a very experienced project manager - more a delivery manager.
Computer Literate with good working knowledge of MS Office packages.
Knowledge or accreditation in recognised Portfolio, Programme or Project Management desirable
Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
Good communications skills (oral and written).
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation within a fast-paced organisation.
Previous experience in a telco environment with Fibre experience/knowledge.
Excellent Excel knowledge.
Able to work on MS project.
