About the role


Our Taste & Nutrition manufacturing facility in Runcorn, Cheshire currently have vacancies for Production Operators on a rotating shift pattern.

The role of a Production Operator is to operate safely within the production team, as directed by the Shift Manager, to ensure that the production plan is met on time, in full and to the defined cost, quality, hygiene, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities


Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure that all staff are safe in the working environment. In particular:


Operate processes and machinery / equipment as laid down by standard operating procedures and training.


Lift and stack raw materials and products in compliance with manual handling and mechanical handling (FLT) training.


Report all safety incidents, damages and near misses immediately.


Carry out Quality Assurance checks (in-process testing) on product being manufactured to ensure the factory produces product which meets the specified quality standards


Communicate any issues or the inability to meet verbal or written instructions immediately to Senior Operative/Shift Manager/Production Manager


To carry out any additional task that is reasonably requested of them by their manager.

Qualifications and skills


Good Time keeping / Attendance


Ability to work diligently and accurately under minimal supervision.

To be numerate and literate.


Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work in environment of continuous improvement.


Physically fit and healthy, able to manage manual handling tasks.

Pro-active and good team worker.


Willing to engage in discussion with management and supervision

Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is an advantage.


Forklift truck licence would be an advantage – but training will be provided


Food hygiene certificate would be an advantage – but training will be given.
