Very competitive salary (dependent on experience), Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm, 20 days annual leave + Christmas shutdown + bank holidays, Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Pension, Parking.

The Role

We are delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing company in Burgess Hill who are seeking a Production Manager to join their team. This role will see you manage production operations, ensuring that the production department meets its quality assurance and scheduling goals. Duties will include:

Manage Production Supervisors to ensure orders are complete in time for dispatch.
Maintain production schedule to ensure details and routing of components are correct
Report on production area performance and future capacity planning. Where necessary implement changes/actions to resolve any potential issues.
Ensure an ongoing culture of continuous process improvement takes place.
Liaise with other departments such as Sales, Technical, Operations and Materials regarding any production queries or stock scheduling issues.
Examine internal database to determine most efficient flow of production processes.
Assist in quality control investigations and improvement activities at all stages of the process and co-ordinate between departments to ensure any issues are resolved.
Ensure knowledge and awareness of your roles and responsibilities under the Company’s integrated management systems in relation to Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental.
Ensure that all requirements under health and safety legislation are actively adhered to and that all standards of safety, hygiene and security are maintained.

Requirements
We expect the successful candidate to have previous experience working in a production management role. You will need strong communication skills to enable you to manage your team effectively. The ability to understand technical specifications/manufacturing routing data would be a huge advantage. You will need to work self-sufficiently and be confident in using your own initiative. Awareness and experience of quality, health and safety and working confidentially are all preferred.
