At our site in Stonehouse, we manufacture a range of plastic/ single use equipment for biopharmaceutical industry. We are expanding our production facilities and we have this immediately available position for a Production Engineer.

Your role will be to ensure the optimisation of production processes and control the transfer of new products into production manufacturing. If you are interested in new product development, this could be a great opportunity for you. You will be collaborating with other teams and continuously learning and developing.

What You Will Accomplish Together With Us
  • Providing technical support for existing manufacturing processes
  • Leading New Product Introductions and technology transfers onto site
  • Leading process improvement initiatives |capacity increase, scrap | cost reduction|
  • Managing projects and change control processes | new technology, new equipment|
  • Designing manufacturing jigs and fixtures
  • Subject Matter Expert for quality investigations and regulatory audits
  • Assisting with shop floor continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring and controlling process performance, producing reports
  • Assisting in maintaining systems to ensure compliance to ISO 13485 and regulatory IVD requirements
What Will Convince Us
  • Preferably educated to degree level in engineering, technical or a science related discipline; HNC or HND level are acceptable
  • Knowledge of process improvement methods |e.g., Lean, Six Sigma| and project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of quality core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, 8-D
  • Ideally, experience of working in a regulated manufacturing sector |e.g., medical device, pharma, aerospace, cleanroom|
  • Ability to coach and mentor colleagues through structured training sessions and workshops
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Attention to detail and ability to work towards deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational, planning and administrative abilities
