Produce schedules and production so that the flow of material meets production requirements and ensures optimization of resourceReview tonnage scheduled against manning to ensure feasibility Assign products to machinesCreate and prioritise batches onto individual machine schedules and give to production team Record and submit appropriate data into production database for traceabilityMonitor production activity and analyse production data to attain the necessity to reschedule due to deviationsAdjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, design changes and material or labour shortages Identify outstanding orders and schedule into production as a priorityLiaise with key stakeholders to ensure production schedules are delivered to meet standards and deadlinesAnalyse scheduled tonnage for the day to identify levels above or below capacityChase additional contracts through different depots/contracts team/companies when productioncapacity is not at optimumNotify contracts team expected delivery datesNotify contracts team to extend delivery dates with customers when tonnage over capacityConfirm production requirements with contracts team to ensure the customer still wants the scheduled production when appropriateConfirm with production team that the content of the work schedule is achievable with the manning expertise and machine availabilityConfirm with production that they understand loading requirementsIdentify opportunities for loading optimisation with the transport and production teamPlan, prioritise and monitor the delivery of goods to maximise utilisation of transport availabilityAnalyse production output to ensure it meets contract requirementsAllocate deliveries to individual hauliers based on geographical and cost implications Communicate regularly to suppliers our haulier requirementsMonitor due and processed dispatches through the retrieval of outbound dispatch documentation Transfer dispatch documentation to transport tracking system for traceabilityPerform trailer checks to ensure loading reflects the what has been scheduledResolve problems that occur from production deviations, customer requirement changes or haulier issuesLiaise with production team to understand schedule deviationsCommunicate with hauliers any delays in production as soon as they arise to minimise costsAnalyse delivery departure times against expected arrivals using available haulier communicationto establish what is likely to arrive lateLiaise with contracts team to communicate delivery delays Perform trailer checks to analyse what trailers are loaded,Report deviations to production team when trailers to not match the scheduleReport all haulier related health and safety issues to suppliers and on site personnel Monitor the application and effectiveness of haulier health and safety solutionsEnsure continuous availability of trailers and shutters in line with production requirementsInstruct haulier suppliers to perform MOTs and services for trailers when applicable Monitor trailers available on site dailyContact hauliers to organise trailer delivery when availability is lowGenerate reportsReport key performance indicators to senior managementTrack site refused deliveries and report to senior managementMiscellaneous Or Ad Hoc Business RequirementsManage specific projects or undertake specific project activity as determined by the business or line managerTravel to specific locations in order to undertake role requirements as required Represent your function or business at meetings or events as requiredUndertake any reasonable request in order to support the needs of the businessTechnical competenciesARMAExcelWordPowerpointOutlookSuccess FactorsThe Package Details Are As Follows
  • Salary: 25k per annum.
  • Working Hours: 39 hours per week.
  • Shifts to be 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, 830.am to 4.00pm Friday.
  • Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Pension: auto-enrolment at 4%, matched by the Company up to 5%.
  • Life cover at three times basic salary, whilst actively contributing to the pension scheme
