Role: Engineering product support lead

Location: Warwick

This is a newly created role in the business and an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a new area within the growing department.

You will be the first point of contact into the engineering department for product support and providing technical back up for service engineers.

Responsible to mobilise engineering resources to assist in diagnosing and resolving issues affecting customer installed MTG’s.

You will also provide support to drive investigation and resolution of issues reported by assembly, end of line test, quality functions.

Daily role:

To be the 1st point of contact in the engineering organisation and for all issues (PIR & FRACAS) raised at system level, either from factory units or customer units infield. Responsible to define and operate triage systems, allocating actions to qualify , manufacturing, or engineering. Where the issue cannot be readily allocated to a specific team within engineering taking ownership to drive a investigation until either a root cause is established or isolated to a specific area allowing an appropriate sub-system to take over the investigation.

To be a expert in the product and its construction, different modes of operation and expected behaviours both in normal operation and under fault conditions.

To be the go to technical expert and support the sales team and support with customer installations

To provide technical expertise to support the test and certification team with the investigation and resolution of any test failures (FRACAS) where system level investigation is required initially in order to drive towards root cause identification.

To support the systems engineering team in the systems integration activity, in particular to lead investigation into any systems level functionality OR performance issues until root cause can be established.

Skills required:

Degree in systems or electronics engineering

Must have demonstratable strengths in the application of structured problem soloing techniques in complex products with significant electronics and electronics systems content.

Should be a strong advocate and promoter for data drive decision making

Will need 3 years + experience working in a hands on systems integration and test and fault finding role.

·From a automotive tier one supplier or OEM environment.

·Must have excellent communication skills and driving collaboration with multi-disciplined teams to create technical solutions to difficult complex engineering problems.
