An exciting opportunity has presented itself at Systech IT Solutions based in Hull for a Product Support Engineer. The role is primarily remote, with travel to the head office and client sites from time to time.

Job Overview:

As a Product Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to users of the company’s products. You will be the primary point of contact for customers who have technical issues or questions related to the product, and you will be responsible for providing timely and effective solutions to these issues. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the company’s product documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and that customers/partners have access to the necessary technical training and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers who have issues or questions related to the company’s products.
  • Respond to customer inquiries through phone, email, or chat support, and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including product development and sales, to identify and resolve technical issues and improve product functionality.
  • Ensure that product documentation, including user guides, manuals, and FAQs, is accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs to users, including online tutorials, webinars, and in-person training sessions.
  • Test product releases to ensure that they meet quality standards and identify and report any bugs or issues to the development team.
  • Provide licensing support to customers, ensuring that they have valid licenses to use the product.
  • Provide professional services support related to the company’s product portfolio.
  • Other technical support tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in technical support, product support, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Microsoft End Point Manager.
  • Experience in Application packaging (MSI, MSIX, and other package formats).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non Technical users.
  • PowerShell Scripting.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of software testing principles and experience with product release testing.
  • Knowledge of licensing and software installation processes.
  • Experience with customer service and support best practices.

Offer:

For this full-time role Systech are offering a salary of between 28-34k a year plus quarterly performance-related payment. In addition, Systech offer the usual benefits of paid holidays and pension as well as participation in the company health scheme.
