The job: As our new Product Marketing Manager, Trace Elemental Analysis (TEA) , you will be joining our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD), where you will have global responsibility for product positioning, definition of target markets and outbound marketing activities for our TEA software, auto-samplers & accessories. As Product Marketing Manager you will support the development of products for specific market requirements, including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and commercial pricing. Assessing market opportunities, optimizing product positioning, monitoring revenue and market share, as well as the creation of clear value propositions for target segments, will all be key responsibilities of the role. You will also lead the development and execution of product marketing plans to achieve growth and margin objectives consistent with the business’s strategic plan. Understanding market conditions and customer needs and being able to translate them into product requirements is key to your success in this role, resulting in improved customer satisfaction and increased value generation. We are offering this role as fully remote (working from home) based anywhere in Europe . Some international (global) travel may be required - up to 25% per annum - with overnight stays. You will also interact closely with our Bremen site in Germany, where many of your key internal partners are based. Our solutions are helping to analyse water and air quality, as well as aid the fight against doping in sports. What will you do? Marketing Plan Development and Execution : determine marketing strategy; build and implement plans that drive awareness and demand Collect VOC and Market Trends : identify, detail & communicate why customers buy and how they use specific products; communicate back into the organization new requirements and new market trends Product Strategy : complete competitive landscape analyses; define product strategy by region and vertical Market Management : decide which segments of the market to focus on and develop positioning and supporting material to market complete solutions of our targeted products Application Selection and Development : work with Product Management and Application Development teams to identify key applications that are emerging and important to the product; identify key opinion leaders to develop these applications with Pricing : work with commercial organization and regional marketing managers to ensure local pricing is aligned with marketing positioning strategy New Product Introductions : build the value proposition for NPIs; create material and deliver training for NPIs; implement NPI plan and targets Sales Support : help our commercial teams to build and maintain relationships with key customers to build advocacy, generate leads and deliver communications related to solutions/products Sales Training : build training material and train the sales organization to keep them current on market trends, products, positioning by segment and customer Achieve AOP financial goals Who we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in a physical or life science, chemistry or engineering; significant knowledge of analytical chemistry strongly preferred; MBA or similar business education also preferred Extensive hands-on experience with TEA (ICP-MS preferred) and/or experience in delivering products / solutions for TEA applications to external customers Experience in sales and/or marketing of scientific capital equipment (product marketing / product management experience within this area of particular interest) Fluent in English Willing and able to travel internationally (up to 25% pa), including overnight stays What’s in it for you: Excellent career progression opportunities with a large and growing global employer Competitive salary, plus annual incentive bonus Full benefits package (specifics depend on country of hire) About us: Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue of approximately $40 billion.
