South Field Marketing Manager

Mission: To Build and Execute on a Marketing Plan for Security that is in line with business priorities that includes building pipeline, driving awareness, growth and retention.


What You’ll Do

As the regional marketing manager for South you will lead and support Field Marketing programmes and own event campaigns within the South Region for Cybersecurity. This is a dynamic role for an organised, proactive and results-driven marketing specialist. You will manage the budget to support South field marketing activities and will execute targeted plan specific to South to enhance brand, demand and pipeline for Cybersecurity. You will also work as part of the Field Marketing team for EMEA and will support additional ad hoc projects as and where is required from the business.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Build an integrated field marketing plan and strategy that includes partner marketing, channel, cisco marketing, digital, PR and Comms with strong coordination across the organisation that emcompass virtual and in-person activities.
  • Strategically plan and execute field marketing programs to deadline and budget to drive pipeline generation and acceleration across South. This should include working with stakeholders to incorporate digital marketing, demand generation, campaigns, sales prospecting programmes, virtual and in-person field events, third party tradeshows and conferences within South.
  • Track and measure results, continually optimising for efficiency and scale. Deliver detailed reporting and metrics on activity results, campaign effectiveness, and ROI. Use data to make real-time adjustments and proactively identify trends and opportunities and ensure all stakeholders are updated with weekly and monthly updates and reviews alongside marketing
  • Work alongside ABM team to finalise target accounts to execute and deliver a regional ABM strategy and deliver programmes that utilises a variety of marketing channels to drive net new logos and accelerate pipeline.
  • Follow and analyse market trends and competitive landscape for South
  • Work with Customer advocacy to increase South testimonials for marketing activities
  • Work with the EMEA Security Marketing team on ad hoc projects
  • Develop events from inception through to execution.

You will have:

  • Great communication skills both written and verbally
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to inform recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects with tight deadline in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Able to manage field events, programmes (seminars, tradeshows, conferences from initial planning to final execution, including communications to drive attendance, virtual or on-site execution and follow/up tracking)
  • Proven record of accomplishment in executing marketing programme and working in a cross matrix organisation
  • Experience with Excel, SFDC, powerpoint, Salesforce, Eloqua (desirable),
  • Track record of defining and executing demand and field marketing strategies that deliver against funnel metrics and KPIs
  • Understanding of CRM, Marketing automation, account based marketing, email marketing tactics.
  • Experience developing and executing on multi-channel marketing campaigns and programmes across all stages of the funnel
  • Experience of delivering both digital and in-person event environments with an in-depth knowledge incorporating event experiences into the buyer’s journey to create demand
  • Experience working with sales including joint planning and execution, lead management, driving disciplined lead follow up, and earning trust as a business partner

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate’s hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
