About the role:

This position has come about as a result of our extensive growth plans. As the Product Manager for Maintenance Solutions, you will be leading and co-ordinating the development and rollout of scalable Value Added Solutions (VAS) linked to solving customer needs around maintenance and operations across selected EMEA markets.

You will Ensure a consistent, scalable, and efficient business model is developed on an EMEA wide basis to deliver existing solutions such as Mobile Condition Monitoring, Calibration, Oil Analysis, Lubrication, Energy & Sustainability, LockOut TagOut and other new services as they are tested, launched and scaled.

Key accountabilities:

  • Identify, develop and roll-out new and existing services propositions across agreed EMEA markets ensuring a consistent and scalable business model is developed including positioning, commercials, functionality and value proposition. Ensure RS remains differentiated and ahead of the competition and drives sustained and profitable market share growth
  • Become the voice of our customers through ongoing customer discovery efforts, continuous feedback gathering and championing customer needs
  • Create a product roadmap for RS maintenance solutions by capturing market requirements, defining product requirements and prioritising the roadmap to create new propositions and enhance existing ones
  • Perform comparative solution analysis amongst peers and competitors to identify both new opportunities and threats and put together recommendations on how best to respond
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer segments and personas to deliver actionable insights and ensure these insights are incorporated into the strategy for maintenance solutions - meeting with customers, sales, and 3rd party platforms to get feedback, input and insight
  • Collaborating with local, regional and group functions to deliver industry recognised best practice product management for maintenance solutions including an agreed product roadmap and go to market plan
  • Work closely with the Head of VAS Propositions (EMEA) and the country marketing teams to educate sales teams and provide marketing & sales tools (including thought leadership pieces, value calculators, sales brochures, infographics and case studies) that articulate our value proposition
  • Develop strong relationships with the wider sales team to support sales growth within value added services - optimising the qualification and conversion of sales opportunities
  • Shape and influence policies and procedures within RS and comply with all legislative requirements
  • Lead high performing and effective virtual teams to drive best practice sharing across the region
  • Manage the associated budget and cost centre for this area

What we’re looking for:

  • A strong and proven leader with a track record of direct and virtual team leadership as well as cross functional project management in a matrix organisation on a pan European basis
  • An ability to understand and translate the needs of maintenance and operations professionals into scalable service solutions that drive growth and differentiation for RS
  • An experienced leader in driving change and adapting and evolving service solutions
  • Impactful communicator, able to work across a range of ideas – from crystallising proposition concepts to developing product roadmaps and delivery documents – across written, presentation and verbal forms. Proven ability to communicate with senior executives
  • Is an effective coach, influencing others to take personal ownership & responsibility
  • Commercially savvy product manager - very comfortable with numbers and data driven decision making
  • Ability to impact and influence in a global matrix organisation
  • Self-motivated, flexible and organised. Demonstrates the ability to prioritise workloads, multi-task and act on own initiative
  • Ability to understand and work with sales teams to drive growth through solution-based selling
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • Forms positive relationships, strives for high performance and is focussed on their own personal development
  • Experience of working in a B2B environment such as manufacturing industry or business services sector.
  • Experience of creating and delivering value proposition led sales tools and collateral
