We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Product Managerto define the strategy and realise the growth ambitions for the YaraVita range of foliar fertilizers and biostimulants. This is a home based position with regular travel throughout the UK & Ireland.


Yara has recently announced an exciting investment in UK agriculture for our YaraVita range of foliar fertilizers and biostimulants. This significant investment to build a new YaraVita production facility in Yorkshire is another sign of Yara’s commitment to increasing sales of these products, which are crucial for achieving food security and combating climate change.


Set to be one of the largest of its kind in the world and the largest in the UK, the facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2025 and it will double Yara’s current production capacity. YaraVita is integral part of Yara’s decarbonization solutions for agriculture.


This position will actively contribute to develop the business towards more sustainable and efficient food production in the UK & Ireland which will help our customers and farmers reap the rewards of using YaraVita as part of their crop nutrition programme.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sales forecasts and budgets to facilitate accurate production and planning to meet market requirements.
  • Develop seasonal targets to meet price, volume grade mix and offtake pattern objectives.
  • Management and development of Business Plans with key strategic YaraVita customers.
  • Provide technical updates internally and with Distributors, Independent Agronomists and Farmer customers.
  • Implement and maintain strict authorisation and debt management procedures.
  • Responsibility to liaise with Agronomy team to deliver key seasonal crop messaging to internal and external customers. This will include messaging on SoMe.
  • Optimise the product portfolio.
  • Train commercial teams with core product agronomic messaging.
  • Liaise with Marketing team to establish a marketing plan for advertising, editorials, promotions and events.
  • Arrange with Agronomy team to establish national trials programmes to support the development of YaraVita products.
  • Represent the interests of Yara to outside organisations by membership and liaison with the agricultural societies and interest bodies.
  • Ensure that the business area is forward thinking and able to take advantage of innovative ideas and profitable developments.

Profile


  • Master’s degree in Agriculture, Science or Business
  • FACTS qualification essential, BASIS preferable
  • Extensive agronomic knowledge
  • Relevant experience in a senior management position
  • In depth understanding of the UK & Ireland crop nutrition segment
  • Drive and “can do attitude” - ability to connect at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills
