Our client based just outside of Shrewsbury is looking to recruit a Product Manager to join their existing, growing and thriving organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long established and respected business supplying fasteners and fixings to the construction industry. Now part of an industrial group of companies, the business continues to grow. This role is to help the company maximise it product offering through new product development, product range enhancements and the drafting and maintenance of technical data to support that offering.
  • Key Responsibilities: *
  • Ensuring all relevant product master data sits on the ERP system (Winman)
  • Supporting the forecasting and planning process by ensure all products are set up to match the customer/product profile
  • Working with the Sales and Procurement teams to ensure customer forecasts are uploaded on the ERP system and reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring structured price lists are kept up-to-date in order for the team to manage pricing effectively
  • Developing photographic, digital and video representation of products to enhance product awareness
  • Ensuring regular customer updates are provided for Marketing, detailing new and updated product range information for regular bulletins/communications.
  • Proposing new products where a range needs to be augmented, or in response to competitor product development and participate in Think Tank meetings
  • Analysing and benchmarking all key product groups against key competitors on a regular basis
  • Range consolidation of future acquisition parts and stock, highlighting all technical characteristics to assist the Procurement team on supplier consolidation
  • Co-ordinate and drive product marketing activity to targeted customers
  • Experience / Skills Required: *
  • Strong data analysis and management to analyse and interpret large data sets
  • High degree of commercial acumen, understanding market analysis, and entrepreneurial spirit to ensure products deliver on-going sales or customer value growth
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to communicate with a variety of stakeholders at different levels of seniority and knowledge, both inside and outside the business
  • Team player who can work with and pull together colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident project driver, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to strict deadlines
  • Active problem solver This is a great opportunity to join a growing organisation with realistic paths for progression. This is a full-time (Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm - 39 hours) permanent, office based role offering a starting salary of between £30,000 & £40,000 dependent on experience.
