Here at Dare2b we have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Data Analyst to join our Product Management team here at our state of the art head offices in Urmston, Manchester.

As the Product Data Analyst you will be accountable to discover the information hidden in our vast amounts of data, which will enable the Brand Directors to make smarter decisions across an omni channel global business. To access invaluable insights into our own and our competitor’s business.

The Product Data Analyst will need to be accountable for calculating the Brand’s KPI on value, volume & range size, margin performance for previous mirror season and target for future season(s).

You will work with cross functional teams in order to drive, communicate and transfer knowledge and information in order to create commercial, innovative and cohesive product ranges in line with the Brand strategy.

The impact you will have in this role:

Research

  • Continual development and understanding of UK and European market, customer, consumer, competitors, distribution strategies and price positioning
  • Commercial input understood through communication with sales teams, customers and consumers and data evaluation delivering correct product mix

Analysis

  • Balanced range growth, structure, price point, model and colour count, with KPI’s delivered alongside the merchandising team
  • Deep dive analytics performed within a fast-paced and exciting function
  • Data analysed and interpreted using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques, driving business decisions and profitability
  • Business opportunities identified using data to propose solutions that aid decision making
  • Clear reports created that tell compelling stories about how customers work with the business and determine product needs
  • Strong communication and clear identification of possible actions based upon insight
  • Accurate data formatted and presented at the right level during key meetings, with key stakeholders kept informed
  • BI integration driven forwards on the product team whilst working with the Panorama team

Range Planning

  • Information fed to the Product Manager to maximise range efficiency
  • The strategy adapted as necessary alongside the Brand Directors based on strategic business decisions

Presentation/Communication/Feedback

  • Correct, clear, concise and relevant information provided across the business as necessary
  • Confident and enthusiastic data interpretation provided at critical milestone meetings
  • Correct form of action sought, based on discussion and feedback, improving product range as necessary with positive response
  • Monthly KPI reports prepared to present to Board Directors

Range Management/ Sales

  • Work alongside planning to ensure that the range is being delivered at the right place at the right time through stock analysis at the correct margin
  • Prepare business cases with product team and sales for any collaboration or new business proposal
  • Work closely with the omni channel sales teams understanding how the range is performing each sales quarter

As our future Product Data Analyst you will have the following:

  • A strong experience using a variety of data analysis methods, data tools, ideally within a clothing Company.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate analytical insights into clear recommendations and effectively communicate them to stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator - good presentation skills and ability to listen to and analyse different views and back up strategy with clear and logical perspective
  • Builds great relationships – across teams and at all levels, having the ability to negotiate and communicate ideas but maintaining a clear understanding of commercial constraints
  • Ability to influence – able to guide and present facts persuasively and reach compromise if necessary
  • Experience utilising visualization tools to take advantage of the growing volume of available information e.g. BI
  • Ideally an understanding of outdoor or sportswear clothing products & markets across Europe, or at least an understanding of the general clothing markets
  • Computer literate – including strong PowerPoint presentation and Excel, pivot tables.
  • Good numerical skills – the ability to review, digest & debate data and make compelling strategic decisions as a result
  • Fluent in written & spoken English
