The Impact you will have in this role is:
Commercials
Actively invest in the Product and Design business strategy & commercial range plans to support the developing needs of the business & assist the Product Manager to drive the range structure in this direction
Manage range KPI’s alongside the PM to actively seek best SKU efficiencies
Analyse existing ranges, working closely with merchandise to plan the lines, determine sell throughs & build forecasts to support product-based decisions.
Range Management
Support the PM to lead & manage range lifecycles & create global range structures
Challenge & inspire innovation & conceptual product opportunities & obtain buy in from key stakeholders within the business
Responsible for the set up and accurate maintenance of all product briefing documents and the communication of range changes/updates to both the internal & wider teams
Ability to represent the department where necessary in key meetings & impact and influence key decisions that directly affect the product ranges &/or product team
Close working relationship with Design, Buying & PD’s to drive product concepts
Sales Support
Create all internal & external product documents including product amends & pre-line presentations
Strong understanding of our omini-channel business & their requirements for end consumer
Work closely with Marketing to bring the product stories to life from concept to consumer with key commercials in mind, including packaging & product tech stories
Ability to present confidently & enthusiastically, including at stakeholder level, throughout the range development process including launch events
Attend key sales meetings where required to understand consumer demands and gain product feedback
Support sales with customer enquiries and manage the SMU process
Market Research
Understand global requirements across the omni-channel business, building key relationships to support the product management function & influence key future range decisions
Continue to develop range specific expertise with and product knowledge
Support the PM in benchmarking new product opportunities to drive best product performance & pricing in line with the market
Travel to relevant markets on research trips alongside the PM and design team

As our future Junior Product Manager, you will have:
At least 2 years’ experience in a product/buying/category apparel role
Interest in sport and other outdoor activities and related clothing/ apparel & equipment useful
Computer literate including ability to use PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Good numerical skills
Fluent in written & spoken English
Willingness to undertake regular travel within UK and overseas when required
Good communicator - good presentation skills and ability to listen to and analyse different views and back up strategy with clear and logical perspective
Builds great relationships – across teams and at all levels, having the ability to negotiate and communicate ideas but maintaining a clear understanding of commercial constraints
Enthusiastic, highly organised with an ability to self-manage workload and deadlines
Entrepreneurial, with a passion for great products and predicting commercial future market opportunities
A “doer” and team player, not afraid to get stuck into tasks outside of their own remit to help others and get the job done.
Able to work within departmental budget constraints whilst understanding the “bigger picture” within the business as a whole
