The Role

We are looking for a driven individual to join our team as a Procurement Manager. The role requires:

  • A strategic Procurement Manager who is confident leading all procurement activities across the organisation.
  • An experienced professional that can manage the professional requirements of the individual business areas within Salix Homes procurement strategy and procedures.
  • A procurement expert that can act as an internal consultant to stakeholders whilst working collaboratively to provide valued insight to inform decision making.
  • The ability to lead, co-ordinate and manage the procurement function to improve services by ensuring efficiency, productivity, quality, value for money and social value outcomes.

What we need

We are looking for a self-motivated procurement professional who can thrive under pressure, adapt and be flexible to the demands of the role. The role holder should :-

  • Be confident in dealing with uncertainty with the ability to use their own initiative
  • Be able to adapt to changing work demands and complex challenges.
  • Have a demonstrable knowledge of providing lead procurement support and advice in social housing or a public contracts environment.
  • Be an effective communicator who is able to explain and address complex issues.
  • Hold a MCIPS qualification or equivalent level of relevant experience
  • Have extensive knowledge of procurement legislation and UK and EU compliance
