As a Barclays Private Markets team member, you will be responsible for managing key aspects of the Private Markets platform. This requires liaising and coordinating external Fund Managers and Administrators as well as internal stakeholders including Private Bankers, Operations, Legal, Tax and Compliance. Your role is a primary escalation point of contact for Private Bankers in respect of activities such as reporting, distributions, capital calls and other day-to-day processes and associated queries.

What will you be doing?

  • Performing comprehensive detailed analysis and review of all supported Private Market funds to ensure they are product managed and supported in line with regulatory constraints
  • Ensuring new funds are launched successfully and in a timely manner, inclusive of providing oversight to structuring, review of offering documents
  • Managing relationships with Administrators and Fund Managers across the product platform, ensuring service reviews take place and information is available in an accurate and timely manner
  • Pro-actively managing external/internal events and changes (e.g. regulatory) impacting the Private Markets business
  • Working closely with internal partners to ensure a comprehensive, consistent approach to risk management
  • Sourcing opportunities through market analysis, engaging with Fund Managers up to and including CEO level and then provide their view / recommendation

What we’re looking for:
• An active team player proactively seeking to work in a collegiate manner and actively share knowledge and experience
  • Experience in presenting to various audiences, drafting and delivering clear concise information
  • Ability to work through and resolve complex queries and issues by leveraging relationships with internal stakeholders

Skills that will help you in the role:
• 5+ years’ experience of private equity, private debt or real estate funds
  • 3+ years’ experience in creating, structuring and setting up feeder vehicles/ fund structures (preferable)
  • Good capability in the Microsoft suite with sufficient presentation skills
  • Fluent in English, other languages preferable but not essential

With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
