As a Barclays Investigations Manager you will work with a defined investigations methodology and in close collaboration with business partners across Barclays and with external agencies (e.g. Legal and Law Enforcement). You will conduct interviews, take statements, gather evidence, analyse facts and prepare reports as part of the investigative process. Additionally, you will lead investigations or be part of an investigative team for larger or more complex investigations.

What will you be doing?
• Undertaking investigations into matters referred by the Whistleblowing team and Barclays’ business entities, principally in EME, but with Global reach where necessary
  • Conducting investigations in accordance with Investigations methodology, utilising the dedicated Case Management System for the recording and management of casework
  • Undertaking interviews, taking statements, analysing facts, gathering evidence, compiling robust, defensible and timely investigation output
  • Digesting and analysing large amounts of information and reach decisions on judgemental issues relevant to the whistleblowing program
  • Considering legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to whistleblowing and the legal, regulatory and policy frameworks
  • Conveying analysis and decisions cogently to senior audiences and accept check and challenge from them
What we’re looking for:
• Relevant experience in conducting investigations in a corporate environment
  • Relevant experience or significant knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Investigative and analytical skills including report writing, evidence gathering, interviewing, fact finding and analysis, presenting evidence at civil, criminal and disciplinary proceedings
  • Computer literacy with knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Windows packages and familiarity with the principles and operation of case management systems
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Proven investigative experience across a range of themes and products
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of Barclays’ products and services
  • Ability to work well under pressure with demanding multiple deliverables, working alone or as part of a team
