PRINT OPERATOR SUPERVISOR
The role of Print Operator Supervisor is a key position in Xerox, reporting to the Operations Manager. This role must manage the daily operational and administrative operations of the department including establishing work priorities assisting in resolving problems related to the day-to-day operations of the Sheffield reprographics & mail teams.
The Team Leader plays a key role with respect to team performance, day to day knowledge and feedback on staff is critical to the development of the teams and the service delivery. Standard management activities such as conducting performance reviews, managing holiday and sickness absence and overseeing health & safety within their area is also part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
OPERATIONS -
- To ensure the print & mail run smoothly and efficiently on a daily basis through all aspects of the production process. Ensuring that the reproduction of high-quality documents to client specifications is met promptly and to the highest possible standard.
- Demonstrate an organised and systematic approach to workflow management, following the Document Lifecycle process
- Ensure work is quality checked for errors
- Use of the nQ billing system
- Build relationship with clients and manage their perceptions and expectations
- Support colleagues and work as a team in order to achieve the best results for clients
- Comply with all departmental procedures and processes
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key suppliers
- Ensure all SLA’s are met for reprographics service
- To foster a culture of excellence and ensure that continuous improvement through the use of best practice.
- Ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum.
- Assist in staff performance and take action as necessary
- Support 1:1’s and performance review are carried out in line with Xerox best practice
- Support and actively participate in the positive performance review process and succession planning
- Foster a culture of excellence within the team by acting as a role model and driving best practice standards
- Liaise and consult with managers on a regular basis
- Encourage a positive, courteous and productive working environment
- Management of staff related administration; ie, holiday and absence
- Manage staff absence within the Xerox guidelines
- Keep records of incidents and accidents.
- Promote Health & Safety and safe working practices.
- Compile, maintain and utilise accurate Health & Safety records for management information purposes and in line with statutory requirements.

- Good working-knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
