Detail of the Role

Management and scientific contribution in the delivery of bioanalytical services. Key to this role is prior experience with method development, extracting small molecules from biological matrices and quantitatively determining their concentrations using LC-MS/MS, with large molecules experience, high-resolution mass spectrometry and GC-MS/MS a plus. Developing subject matter scientific strategy for future expansion in line with business objectives. Driving successful innovative activities to support the development of new bioanalytical service lines. Active engagement with clients to support business development activities and facilitate strong pipeline growth. Responsible for supporting the financial performance of designated teams in relevant discipline through ensuring high quality, timely delivery of client projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Engage with key opinion leaders and organizations, representing CLS expertise at conferences and disseminating state-of-the-art scientific and regulatory knowledge throughout the site for Bioanalysis services
  • Support the scientific innovation strategy to bring new, innovative, and high value bioanalytical services to market
  • Expand, nurture, and strengthen relationships with customers through leading scientific discussions and demonstrating subject matter expertise
  • Work with business development and operations to ensure work proposals accurately reflect the requirements of the sponsor
  • Provide laboratory support for the development of bioanalytical methods
  • Provide scientific oversight and support scientific reviews for ongoing bioanalytical studies, providing meaningful practical support to the scientific team to aid in successfully achieving the study objectives and ensuring it is kept to budget
  • Provide mentorship to bioanalytical staff, and strong support for their continuing professional and scientific development
  • Leading by example, ensure the highest scientific standards are upheld at the CLS Dundee site and embody Good Laboratory Practice and relevant Regulations and Industry Guidelines
Qualifications/Role Requirements
  • BSc in relevant field
  • Management experience
  • 5+ years’ experience within the field
