The role of School of Primary Care Training Hub Administration Officer is focused on providing effective and efficient administrative support to a growing team, delivering education and training within Primary Care across Thames Valley and Wessex.

You will be based with the School of Primary Care department, engaging with colleagues to progress business support within the region whilst working flexibly across all areas to provide appropriate assistance as and when business needs require additional resources.

You will communicate with a number of internal and external stakeholders, establishing relationships to progress the development of Primary Care within the South East.

This is a unique opportunity to meaningfully contribute to Primary Care, the training and education of our future workforce and to inspire interest in education.

This role will be based in either Winchester or Oxford.

You should be a self-motivated individual, able to respond quickly to changing priorities and workloads. You should be a strong communicator with excellent writing skills.

You should have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. We expect applicants to have a strong working knowledge of maintaining confidentiality as well as implementing data protection legislation requirements and to be able to work towards deadlines without supervision.

Candidates should have previous experience of working in an administrative role and working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of ‘managing upwards’ and have confidence to implement this in their role. Experience of working in a health and/or education environment is also desirable.

You will be a representative of the Primary Care Department and will be expected to be a positive advocate for HEE at all times. You will promote leadership that inspires, motivates, and empowers all staff, whilst demonstrating the values of the NHS.

The Primary Care Department is responsible for the delivery of general practice education, alongside training and development for the multi-professional primary care workforce.

Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 4 with a full-time starting salary of £22,549, with a pay step increase after 3 years’ service.

These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
