Hitachi ABB Power Grids has an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Sales Consultant with ETRM knowledge and experience. We are looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant for commodity trading of power, natural gas, renewable and emissions products and LNG in US and Europe. A true interest and experience in crude and refined products is a plus. You’ll need an understanding of trade life cycle from front office, risk management, back office and logistics. As an integral part of the sales team, you can demonstrate a high-level understanding of business processes and integration solutions in ETRM industry and play a role in the sales processes.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist in lead qualification: aid market development representatives (MDRs) to qualify prospects and leads, ideally providing information and instructing them to be self-sufficient.
  • Perform product demonstrations - coordinate and perform professional high level and detailed product demonstrations tailored to the current prospect.
  • Support the subject matter experts in order to prepare and submit documents such as RFI/ RFQ/ RFP.
  • Assist Account Executives to meet strict delivery of sales tender documents, you demonstrate required skill set to prepare solution presentation, prepare and setup software demos.
  • Be confident in answering market questions during sales processes- support question and answer sessions during the sales process to include interacting with market traders, risk managers and back end financial staff.
  • Prepare content for Request for Information (RFI), quotes (RFQ) and proposals (RFP) - support RFI, RFQ and RFP processes by preparing responses and needed content to represent complete professional answers. Supports bid/no bid analyses and decisions. Participates in project risk review processes.
  • Liaise during project implementation - work with clients to implement solution according to needs and specifications.
  • Subject matter expert in ETRM -serve as SME around ETRM market needs and application capabilities.

Your background
  • Ideally three years of proven pre-sales experience in ETRM industry
  • Ideally experience working within Power or natural gas industry
  • Understanding and experience in preparation of quotations and proposals
  • Strong stakeholder engagement ability to build strong remote relationships
  • Excellent in communication and demonstration of the software
  • Good knowledge of energy industry and technology
  • Prior relevant work experience with prominent ETRM vendors
  • Willingness to travel
