Job Overview

The post holder will participate and lead in the delivery of high standards of care to patients and their families, within the service of Endoscopy, leading on Pre-Assessment and JAG.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is able to set a vision for this new service within Endoscopy and has proven ability to influence change and make service improvements.

The applicant must have a keen interest and knowledge of Pre-Assessment pathways and be able to lead the nursing teams on pre-assessment and JAG, being able to provide expert advice and assist in the accreditation programme across the Health Board.

You will be an innovative leader and will lead on clinical decisions and improvements with the scope of practice, whilst providing a suitable learning environment and high standards of clinical practice.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have continuing responsibility and accountability for pre-assessment Service designated site, ensuring efficient/effective management of the area. You will promote, improve, and maintain high standards of care and contribute to the wider development of nursing within the Health Board.

The post holder will ensure patients receive safe, individualised, and effective standards of care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care. You will manage the skill mix of the nursing team and other resources effectively for the delivery of a high standard of care.

The post holder will oversee the JAG accreditation pathway from start-to-finish, ensuring that the assessment process is managed efficiently and to high quality standards across all units in the Health Board. Lead on the provision of expert advice and leadership relating to nursing matters for JAG. Keep up to date with any new guidance in terms of the JAG accreditation programme. Represent and be an ambassador for the Endoscopy Units across Hywel Dda University Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
