About The RoleApplications are sought for a postdoctoral researcher who will lead a new study investigating the interaction of DNA repair loss and immune checkpoint signalling. This project will utilise a range of the most relevant experimental human and mouse models, to understand whether aberrant signaling can be manipulated to improve anti-tumour responses to immune checkpoint inhibition in DNA repair-deficient cancers. Ultimately, we aim to identify targetable pathways to improve response to immune checkpoint inhibition for a range of tumour types.About YouEssential requirements for this post include a PhD in a relevant biological subject. Significant laboratory experience in cancer research, cell biology and molecular biology are essential. Specific experience in DNA repair biology and/or immunology would be beneficial. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team, maintain good laboratory records and publish findings are also essential.About The School/Department/Institute/ProjectThe Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) is a Cancer Research UK Centre of Excellence whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations.
