About The RoleApplications are sought for a Biospecimen Assistant to receive, track, process and store samples from patients participating in national and international clinical trials. The post will be based in the Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.About YouEssential requirements for this post include a BSc or equivalent in a biological or related science. Demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records as well as good knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment/materials are also essential. Experience of working in a research laboratory (preferably in a translational environment), as well as experience in extracting DNA/RNA from patient samples and cutting sections from FFPE tumour blocks are desirable.
