Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teacher to work with students in Key Stage 4 through Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with children with special educational needs and disabilities, and will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans that meet the individual needs of each student.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student in accordance with their unique needs and abilities.
  • Create and deliver engaging and effective lessons that are accessible to all students, regardless of their learning challenges.
  • Assess and monitor the progress of each student and make adjustments to teaching methods and materials as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other educators, support staff, and families to ensure that each student receives the highest quality education and support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with assistive technology and other tools and resources for teaching students with SEND is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
