The Government of Jersey is recruiting for a Policy Principal for the Telecoms Sector. This is a post that has responsibility for developing telecoms policy for the whole island of Jersey. It is a unique opportunity for someone to not only develop and shape telecoms strategy and policy for the island but also ensure Jersey has the digital connectivity and innovative telecoms approach it needs for the future. You will join the specialist Digital Economy Team based in the Department of the Economy - sitting at the heart of the government. This is a challenging and exciting role that can make a tangible difference to people’s lives across the island and you will be working with senior stakeholders and opinion formers throughout government and industry in Jersey and beyond. Successful applicants will need to have a strong background in telecoms policy or strategy gained in industry, government, consultancy or regulation combined with the ability to deliver objective and impartial advice to senior politicians.
