Passionate with supporting children with multiple special educational needs? Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a young person with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Whilst this is a care role, you will also need to contribute to a fun, safe, engaging & inclusive learning environment. Working within a SEND school in Goole, the positions is open to both full-time and short-time applicators for a September 2022 start. This position will build a lasting and trustful relationship with the student, so desire to be made permanent is welcomed.

Our Ideal Candidates Will
  • Have previous experience working within care or support
  • Experience of supporting with Personal Care when required
  • Strong behaviour management and confident with behaviour that challenges
  • Experience of feeding
  • Provide moving & Handling support that includes use of wheelchairs and hoists
  • Qualifications are not necessary, but are desirable

Our Expectations
  • Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
  • Have or be willing to get a Child only DBS on the update service and have right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to work between 8:30 – 15:30
  • Confidence working with children with a range of learning difficulties

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
