How will you make an impact?

As a Planning Manager you will support the business in driving the Customer experience by achieving the on time inflow, backorder and other goals set by Inchinnan leadership. You will be responsible for the requirements (data analysis, performance measurements, transactional execution) to drive performance improvements and bolster results.

What will you do?
  • Be accountable for driving a stable, feasible supply plan to give manufacturing the best chance of achieving set targets.
  • Assist and support the production and delivery of the manufacturing plan within the established time frames, working alongside management and the planning team.
  • Accountable for OTIF/ LIFR/BO and for identifying and making changes to achieve global targets.
  • Participating in Active Tier 4 Daily Management, driving accountable action on behalf of customer experience.
  • Leading sales and operations execution planning.
  • Supporting the Sn Manager Manufacturing Planning in sales, inventory and operations planning inputs.
  • Collaborating with the Network team to deliver improved results for the supply chain network.
  • Working with distribution resource planning (DRP) team to align on regional stocking levels to enhance service and minimize spoilage.
  • Leading the plant’s finished goods inventory assets by balancing maximum customer service with minimum inventory investment. Establish finished good inventory health metric around gross to net ratio to support corporate DOS target.
  • Using root cause analysis and PPI system for sustainable corrective action to maintain customer experience service levels.
  • Demonstrating proactive leadership on critical planning projects
  • Working along NPI, Product management, and Demand planning to support the planning aspects of life cycle management decisions.
  • Supporting collaborative demand / supply meetings with key customers and product managers.

How will you get there?

The ideal candidate should demonstrate competence in some or all of the following areas:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in leading and driving projects across multiple functional areas.
  • Proven understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, product flow, data management, and supply chain planning
  • Knowledgeable regarding MRP principles and system dynamics
  • Familiarity and experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts
  • Proficiency in handling and analyzing data in Excel; complex pivot tables & reporting, power query, advanced charting, data analysis
  • Ability to demonstrate communication and influencing skills, judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Certified in production and inventory management, supply chain management, or Project management; APICS CPIM, CSCP, Project management PMP, or ISM CPSM
  • Lean/six sigma green belt or higher
  • Planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP tools (Made2Manage, Oracle, SAP, JDE, server-based systems)
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
