Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Pipe Welder operating out of the Company’s facility in Chichester as well as clients’ sites, satisfying the delivery of service to all customers and on specific projects. In addition, the postholder use technical skills and knowledge, satisfying client demand and delivering solution to a high standard. The contractual hours of this post are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day with a 30-minute meal break. Core hours of work will be 7.00am and 3.00pm. You will be expected to dedicate additional times outside of contractual working hours to ensure all tasks are complete or progressed as required. Satisfying overtime hours will be expected in this post.

Your day will look like this:

  • Coded pipe welder – (TIG stainless & carbon steel)
  • Read and understand technical design drawing specification.
  • Product mechanical assembly to drawings specification.
  • Safe use of weld & power / hand equipment (to include grinder)
  • Adherence / control / completion of fabrication documentation to CE standard.
  • Correct use of All PPE - Weld fume & RPE
  • Ability to consistently weld and fabricate whilst conforming to all hot work safety regulations

How you can help us with your experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ welding experience/ Previous coded welder
  • Weld to WPS Standards
  • Use of various LOLLER Equipment (Cranes / Fork Lift) advantageous
  • Established Safety Behaviours – PPE / Safe working practices
  • Rigging / Slinging an advantage
  • Forklift licence / experience preferable
  • Independent Safety Passport preferred
  • Experience working in a similar Engineering environment preferred
  • Working both independently and as a team member
  • Working to exacting deadlines and current quality standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Time management
  • Organised & Punctual
  • Competent in English & Maths
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Approachable with good work ethic
  • May be required to work off site/travel to other sites on occasions
